Insta360 One is a 4K 360 camera packing some seriously cool features!

If you’ve been following my work for awhile, you’ll know how obsessed I am with 360º photos/video and virtual reality. Insta360 has been on my radar since the release of the nano, and then surged to the top of my favourite tech companies when they release the Insta360 PRO – an 8K-vr rig aimed at the pro-market. Had this beast been around when I did this project for Service IQ, I 100% would’ve opted… Read more »

It’s Finally Here – Canon 5D IV

After months of speculation, the Canon 5D IV is finally here! Price of USD$3,499. The biggest features for me are auto-focusing, touch screen and 4K-video! Can’t wait to get my hands on one of these, and keep my Canon 5D III as a trusty back-up camera!

Drone Rules In New Zealand

As a leading drone film maker in the industry, I am constantly asked by new-comers what the rules are around using UAV’s in New Zealand. Airshare has recently put out this great video, which covers all the basics – so check it out, and feel free to ask me any questions.

How do you pee in a wedding dress?

I recently stumbled upon this great experiment that Buzzfeed creator  made! She tried a bunch of different pee-ing methods, with three different dress styles! Can’t say I’ve ever had this problem myself, but I’m sure this will help any brides-to-be out & their respective bridesmaids who have the task of assisting. If you check out the full article, there’s photos/diagrams – but I’ve shared the video which is just as… Read more »

Travelled to Vietnam for 20 days – shot a daily travel vlog of our adventure

Enjoy!… Read more »

What do my wedding albums look like?

The best way to see the impressive quality of my wedding albums is by seeing them in person, and falling love with their rigid pages, super accurate colour tones, and stunning layout. Failing that, the next best thing is seeing this video!

Making Great & Easy Videos on your iPhone with Replay

I’ve had a few emails lately asking what program I use to make my videos I post on my YouTube channel. For any commercial projects on there, I obviously use my Canon 5dmk3 + Final Cut Pro X. However, when it comes to my own personal videos, behind the scene videos, where I just want to tell a story, having a smartphone in your pocket makes life so much easier. I spent a… Read more »

Nephew’s 1st Birthday Video

A few weeks ago my little nephew turned one, rather than busting out the camera to take stills as I usually would do at any family occasion, I decided to put my new Manfrotto tripod through it’s paces and made this short video of his birthday party.

Trip to Hamilton as New Zealand Huggity Photographer

Huggity is an Ireland-based photography company creating gigaphotos of social events, such as sporting fixtures. The Huggity FanPic application is based on a giant 360º, multibillion pixel crowd images taken at a venue during an event – we call them FanPics. Once a FanPic is posted online, users can zoom into a crowd photo to find themselves and their friends. They can then share “a moment in time” with friends and family on Facebook,… Read more »
